Walking on Trees

Walking on Trees is a series exploring my connection to my neighborhood, Brooklyn Heights, after discovering I resided in the very neighborhood my grandfather and great uncle grew up in as children. With the exterior urban landscape of New York City, these images travel between past and present, heritage and self-expression. Through the abstract use of light, shadow, and reflection, I delve into themes of family history, lineage, and self-discovery as I retrace the footsteps of my relatives.
